Practical Steps for Managing Respiratory Illness in Children

Respiratory illnesses are among the most common reasons children require medical attention. Conditions such as the common cold, influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and pneumonia can cause significant discomfort and, in some cases, serious complications (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], 2023). Young children, particularly infants and those with underlying health conditions, are at higher risk for severe symptoms and complications.
